Richard Baehr is an architect who specializes in architectural rendering. Occasionally using pencil or other media, Baehr mostly produces photo-realistic tempera renderings in response to client demand for the powerful expression of design ideas. Moreover, tempera has the unique advantage of allowing changes or additions when necessary.
Baehr has exhibited his work in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia and has lectured in New York, Boston, Toronto, and Osaka. He is a graduate of the Cooper Union School of Architecture and the University of Cincinnati School of Applied Arts. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the American Society of Architectural Illustrators, and the New York Society of Renderers. His book, Architectural Rendering in Tempera, was published in 1995 by John Wiley & Sons.
